Courting Danger
Below are typical examples of what has happened recently when schools were lax in the health and safety of their pupils, staff and parents. All these misfortuntes could so easily have been avoided if only the LEA, school and staff had proper health and safety policies and risk assessments in place. Death and injury should not have to occur before schools and education authorities are forced to take the appropriate action to protect pupils, staff and parents.
