Latin Name Narcissus
Description The leaves are sword like in shape growing from a bulb. The flowers are mainly yellow trumpet shaped, there are also many cultivated varieties which vary in colour.
Hazards The whole plant especially the bulb is poisonous. Similar to onions in appearance.
Effects Vomiting, dizziness, stomach pains and in  more extreme cases convulsions and paralysis. Handling of the plant can cause skin irritation.
Flowering Period March and April.
Location Woodland, roadsides, parkland gardens almost anywhere.
