| Description | Fungi. The caps are slimy but smooth domes, 1- 4 cm, (1/3 - 1 1/2 ins.) across. The gills are purplish brown but become almost black as the spores mature. The stalks are thin and approx. 10cm (4 ins.) high, pale yellow in colour with a dark ring at the top. The cap is yellowish slightly darker than the stalk. | |
| Hazards | These fungi are often grown quite deliberately as the
effects after eating are similar to LSD, the drug which can have pleasant
effects of well being and relaxation, also undesired effects can occur
after eating the fungi or drinking the liquid after cooking.
