Description The leaves are large and coarse toothed at the edges and bright green in colour. They grow to about 1 metre (3 feet ) tall. Branched clusters of white flowers at the top.
Hazards The sap is the irritant of this plant. The roots are eaten as a relish with roast beef, some children can suffer stomach upsets.
Effects Contact with the sap of the plant can cause irritation to the eyes and skin.
Flowering Period Leaves appear in spring, flowers in summer.
