| Description |
The leaves
are three oval leaflets on a slender stalk. The yellow flowers are on long
hanging clusters. Bunches of green seed pods form after flowering turning
brown in autumn. |
| Hazards |
Children are
likely to pick pods and eat the seeds within. The laburnum is one of the
highest in incidents of poisoning in this country. The flowers are also poisonous. |

Abdominal
pain, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, burning of the mouth and
throat followed by drowsiness. |
