| Description |
Grows in
clumps on trees, mainly apple. The leaves are green and leathery. Berries
are white, waxy and slightly translucent. |

All parts
especially the leaves and stems are poisonous. |
| Effects |
Eating a few
berries may have no reaction at all or perhaps mild symptoms such as
stomach pains. It is the leaves and stems which are more toxic and can
cause stomach cramps, diarrhoea and even death. |

followed by sticky white berries. |

Mainly in the
south and west of England, more likely to be seen in apple and poplar
trees. |
