| Description |
Can grow to 3 Metres (10ft) tall. The leaves
are long and pointed with a prominent rib. The pink or red flowers form
into large clusters. There are several varieties of cultivated Oleanders
so colour does vary. |
| Hazards |
This plant is extremely dangerous. Eating it
can be fatal. Even smoke from a fire burning its wood is toxic. |
| Effects |
Abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea, visual
disturbances, rapid pulse, heart disfunction causing death. The sap if in
contact with the skin can cause blistering, irritation and soreness. |
