Description	Small shrub but mainly grown as a house plant. Evergreen sparingly branched plant, has smallish greenish red flowers. Surrounded by bright red, pink, yellow or white bracts.
Hazards	The milky sap is poisonous.
Effects	Nausea and vomiting, burning of the mouth.
Flowering Period	Late Autumn to Spring. Popular house plant at christmas time.
