| Description |
Fungi. The cap is domed turning to a bell shape
approx. 5 cm (2 ins.) across, it is sulphur yellow tinged to orange tan
towards the centre. The stalk is often curved growing to 5 - 15 cm (2 - 6
ins.) high. The gills are yellow turning to an olive green then to brown
when mature. |

Some of this species are edible and very
similar in appearance so unless positively identified do not eat any. |
| Effects |
Breathing difficulties, dizziness, headache,
vomiting and diarrhoea. The symptoms usually appear within two hours of
consuming and recovery within 24 hours unless severe. |

All year round but especially abundant in
Autumn. Very common. |

Dense clusters on stumps of deciduous and
coniferous trees. |
