| Description |
Fungi. The cap is white and smooth except for the
centre which is usually slightly scaly, the edges tend to split when
mature, approx. width is 6 -12.5 cm (2 1/2 - 5 ins.). The stalk is also
white with a fleshy white ring near the top 12.5 cm (5 ins.) high. The
gills are pinkish in colour turning to brown. If the fungi is bruised or
scratched a bright yellow stain will form hence the name. |
| Hazards |
This fungi looks very much like the edible
horse mushrooms and grows in similar conditions. |
| Effects |
Flushing, sweating, abdominal pains, vomiting,
diarrhoea and dizziness. The eating of this fungi affects people
differently so not all will have the same symptoms, some will have none at
all. |
